HOTELS

Hotels

Hotel rooms occupy a curious space between public and private. They are places of anonymity, performance and possibility - temporary interiors where identities can be rehearsed, discarded and reinvented.

In this series, Broch utilises these transient spaces to construct elaborate, candy-coloured sets populated by animal masks, balloons, and confectionery. Familiar symbols of comfort and luxury collide with the unexpected, transforming the rooms into sites of pure fantasy where consumption and intimacy briefly converge.

Neither documentary nor fiction, the photographic scenes offer fragments of imagined lives and the fleeting freedom that exists somewhere between home and elsewhere.
